How do you make the front end tougher? and also what do you do with the rear end? Never built one before but have built a few caprices

leaf them inside the rails and suck it down flat as possible. hardnose a forgiving bumper. change bumpers and rear end.

^^^^ where you going to put the core support? There's a lot better options for bumper brackets that do the same thing as those.

with it tilted the core would sit on top with spacers but brings up a question how do you guys prefer to run your shocks? i like them in the frame

I agree there are better choices for bumper brackets, but they were the right price. IMO the more beads of weld you can put down the stronger it will be, so I prefer to run mine on the outside.

Plus it mounts the bumper higher then the frame increasing leverage.

Ok in the first pic it appears that the shock is further over on the frame.
