I have received many questions on how my signs are different from others. I am more than willing to share any information - so here goes if you are inclined
As we all know, whatever you produce, preparation is key. I start out with 14 gauge steel which is professionally bent with mounting holes punched, oiled, then stripped and professionally powder coated.
I use the best wrap material and printer in the industry. Whether it is 3M ControlTac, or Orajet media, both are enhanced with rapid air release technology. Your custom design is printed on this material.
What MOST sign shops do who can print (to save money) is SKIP laminating the print. This is crucial. I laminate every sign that has gone out my door. Why is this important?
Laminating the sign with the correct laminate for the material protects the wrap from UV rays, which can deteriorate the color over time. The laminate also protects the print, and gives the colors a more vibrant look (if you use the correct laminate).
Whether you get a sign or vehicle wrapped - even if it is not from me - please be sure you ask and demand that your wrap is laminated. Again, most sign shops skip this part and then have unhappy customers when a year later their wrap is faded.
At the request of the customer - I can apply speciality vinyl on top of the laminate (holographic, chrome, etc.).
Why are my signs worth the money? Simple - if you want the best looking and truly one of a kind number sign that will last 2-3 times longer than a regular sign, you have come to the right place.
If you want normal cut letters, knowing they will last you a season or two depending on how you care for the sign, then have to pay for a new sign again, any local sign shop can offer that.
You get what you pay for in the graphics business. Large bubbles and cheap material are everywhere - thus, you shouldn't expect much longevity. Designs - they are all based on the designer at the shop. I make all the designs specifically for each customer.
My turn around times will be significantly shorter as I just purchased the same printer I have been using, but at my house instead of at the shop.
Questions, comments, please let me know. Thanks again for everyone who has ordered, and thank you to those of you who have asked questions, even you haven't or do not intend to order. I was a builder and driver before I started doing graphics - give your ride the finishing touch with a custom number sign from Engstrom Graphics.
I will be at Metal Mayhem in the announcers booth - please stop by and ask questions or to bs
