Good point. Why would anyone want to send a PM or an email? But that doesn't explain why even on Sam and Wade's new Wecrash we still get messages and emails (traffic) that produce sales over there but nothing here. Puzzling. SBM will come out soon. And ours won't be bent on a cheap muffler shop bender. That's the difference

CNC rotary draw bender with internal mandrel. There's a lot more that goes into our way of doing things than grabbing a piece of tube and bending it in a muffler shop bender and saying here you go. That's where engineering comes in and programming and all the fun stuff that goes along with high tech equipment and manufacturing. This all comes at a price, which includes a sometimes painfully slow process.
You know, it took us two years to get our SBC design to what it is today. Two years of frustration (at times) of trial and error, knocking on doors, meeting with countless salesmen and engineers at dozens of businesses to get the tooling and source our suppliers. I a stickler on U.S. made products. Two years of what seemed like banging my head against a wall at times. We will be revealing our SBM design in less than half that time. I'd say we're improving a little.
But this is all off topic. My original post stated that this site was not producing results. Well I guess that post lit a fire because now I'm seeing traffic over here also. And that's good, because my intent was not to ridicule the efforts of this site's members. It was to inform you that the other site, you know, the one you don't like, is kicking this site's butt. We can't have that now, can we?
The poll asks where will you go. I will go wherever the people go. Even if that is on several sites. I am glad to be here, and glad to be making some new friends here.

I a stickler on U.S. made products. I have seen a set of your SB Chevy headers recently. Why does it have "MADE IN CANADA" stamped right in the pipes? If you are going to talk like the wecrash crowd and suck up to the wecrash crowd, stay with the wecrash crowd.

If you are going to talk like the wecrash crowd and suck up to the wecrash crowd, stay with the wecrash crowd. What you saw was a prototype that was sold as a closeout at a discount price. I lost money on them. They were a sample batch that I received from a tube bender. They were never advertised out in the open to the public, and all customers were made aware that they were closeouts. I addressed their source for tubing with them (the tube bender) and they did not wish to change their supplier, so therefore they no longer supply us with tubes. I was not going to trash a grand invested because the tube came from Canada. So, they were sold off the radar screen at a loss. I have no issues with Canadians, but I wish to support American jobs and advertise an American made product. We currently meet the FTC's guidelines to advertise Made in the USA. We are very proud of that. Our product supports American jobs in several states. We are recognized by the State of Wisconsin as a Limited Liability Company. We pay our taxes and do things the right way. We are not some fly by night guys building headers for cash. We are doing our very best, but our best will never be good enough for everyone. And that's OK, because there are alternatives out there for everyone. And jafo, I'm not sucking up to anyone. I am advertising a quality product on three message boards to give people on each of those boards a chance to view our product. I'm in a unique position to gauge the effectiveness of those three boards at the same time. I understand loyalty. But for us it's not a matter of loyalty, here or there, us verses them. It's about our customers, and giving them the best quality product that we can. It's about being responsible and doing the right thing.

Super H if you update your thread every once in a while it will move it up where people can see it when they come to the site and click on new topics. This will generate more traffic for you. It didnt light a fire noone knew it was there until you got on this thread and people searched out your thread. I personally prefer taller primaries and a little taller collector. I like the idea of the mandrel bent header though.

Yup We are a few pages back. I wouldn't mind if management here weighed in on this. Is the general concensus that if I advertise on other message boards, the I should as jafo suggests, go there and stay there?

Jafo's opinion is his opinion. It has nothing to do with the management of this site.

At wesmash you can post and advertise as much or as little as you want. Noone has been banned from this site except for a couple of computer generated super spammers.

Super H, Did it really take 2 years to make your SB Chevy headers? I would be getting a new engineer immediately! If you are still putting out "prototypes" in 2012, when are the actual headers coming out? I would also get a different bender also, you can plainly see the compressions in the bends. Your mandrel is too small for your pipe. As I posted before, if anyone would just observe for a while, they will be surprised at what you can learn.

Hard to beat the quality of headers from H.S.S. I have 2 sets of shorties. (1st 2 sets produced) I have no complaints with the headers and the bends are far from a compression bend. Jafo... why don't you go to your local muffler shop in town and have them bend up a pipe for you and then compare the bends. Its pretty clear you don't know what a standard exhaust bend looks like. The 2 sets of shorties I purchased from H.S.S are all american. NO Canada iron on mine.

Alas I have my very own critic. How nice. Probably the same jackass giving me sh*t on Wecrash. There's only a small handful of prototypes that went out, to only a few people. So it shouldn't be too difficult to narrow down who you are. And as I said on Wecrash, if you are an actual customer with a legitimate complaint, you already have my contact information. You have yet to grow a set and contact me to resolve any issues. If you are just a critic, then go get your headers somewhere else. I don't have time for this. You see folks, this is the problem with selling prototypes to the public. Even if you give them away some dipsh*t will look at it and not know the whole story behind what they are looking at and make their own assumptions and conclusions. It's a tough decision to make. We chose, since there is nothing wrong with those samples, to sell them at a discounted price. Plain and simple, they were a sample batch that we received from a tube supplier that we chose not to go with. The customers were made aware of what they were choosing to purchase. They made an informed decision. No scandal here. No shady business practices. That's not how we do business. Here's a pic of the scandelous "Bacongate" headers Here's our current SBC header What we have here is someone trying to make a scandal out of a non issue. No suprise it's being played out on this site.

The only problem I have is listening to you cut down other header makers because they don't have the high dollar bender ar thier disposal. If you have no time for this, stop replying to it. It only makes other want to know what the truth is.
