Hello. No 5 lug axles for a 1965 Dana. I assume this is a full floater? IF you put in a 35 or 40 spline full spool, the answer would then be yes.
Drivingbigtoys, no. A 1972 Riviera has 31 spline bolt in shafts. These WILL fit in a GM 10 bolt, bolt in axle housing though. Thank you for asking. David Bryan

Hello. I would have liked the Centurion more if the name was kept to the Wildcat. I do not know why, other than the LeSabre name was older than the Wildcat, but it would have been fine with me if the LeSabre name was dropped, and the Wildcat continue. But yes, Centurions all had the 455 standard, however, the 12 bolt rear was hit and miss. I have seen both under Centurions, as I have seen both under LeSabres. The LeSabre 12 bolts are real rare though. Even the 455 LeSabres (option) very well could have a 10 bolt under them. The 12 bolt, 31 spline, Buick and Olds, bolt in axle shafts, are all but gone now. They served a purpose. David Bryan

Hello. Jon, I have a few "mint" pairs as well. I also have about ten Cadillac axle shafts cut, and re-splined to 31on the shelf. Some have the taper roller bearings, some have bronze on them now. It seems to be hard to price axle shafts like this, but they are for sale.
Now just 6 pairs. Sold two pairs. All for now. David Bryan

Hello. kodakderby4, it is a rear axle question. The answer is yes, I do still have the factory round Ford yokes in stock. The price is still $50.00 each plus shipping. E-mail sent back to you.
Auctioneerhere. I read the link. Yes, can be done. He never did write though that if it actually worked? (and for how long?). It is along the same lines as turning a new Dana 60 full spool (40 spline) to be used with 3:73 gear sets. Can be done. Machine the bearing land (about .180) and move the full spool over in the housing. Shim the other side. This moves the ring gear over in the housing so the 3:73 gear set will work. Why? No one makes a 40 spline, 3 series, full spool, for the Dana 60. All neat stuff. David Bryan

David,in your opinion what is the stronger rearend Dana 60 or a 14 bolt ?
also how does a 8 3/4 with fullspool and 35 spline axles compare to the ford 9'' with fullspool and 35 spline axles.?
Is the 40 spline axles a lot better than a 35 spline axle for a derby application? Why I ask is everybody says a 18 spline hemi 4spd is stronger than a 23 spline 4spd mopar because there is more material between splines.I would think this might be true with splines on a axle also.
I prefer to keep the drivetrain all mopar, but may consider switching to gm or ford stuff it it can be made stronger than the outhers.thanks, Jeremy
