812 620 9881 is my cell thanks demodude57 and yes critter4 ive melted the walmart 4 pack typ and the harbor freight type both not cut from shaffin but melted from heat i run a mild built 351 w i do use a water resterctor to keep water in rad longer slow it down to the water pump ive been in the demo sport since 1986 and i think ive got the whole thing figured out but this one thing now even though ive never one a derby ive placed 2nd several times and here last few yrs ive had rad just fall out on the track happened 3 times last yr im just trying to make my car to the next level the rad im using is a 4 pass alum rad and there is no mount tabs on it any place so to use zip ties it would have to go around tanks on side and tru the fins and around the tubes i figured that would just rip them out with a solid hit head on full track and some times u have to get that kind of hit in ;D

I use the spay can foam around the radiator, then a couple ratchet straps. Then the dual electric fans are held on with bungy cords which also helps hold the radiator. Has worked very well for me.

4-6 bungee cords so it can move some, and 9 wire on each side as the back-up... Seat foam all the way around to cushion...

ive used bungiee cords before also tried to use rachett straps and the 9 wire but problem i keep running into is once front of car starts to give some straps get loose and bunngee,s get hot and stretch if mounted with 9 wire it twist the rad after front starts to smash in thats why i started this thread wanted to see what some of the othier demo icons was doing

I use 6 inch fire hose or a 4 inch heavy duty strapping from a ratchet strap bolt to the core support with either foar or or spray foam. Never lost a radiator and only wrecked 1 since i started doing my radiator this way for about 7 years now. before that i would wreck a radiator every derby.
