I know of two cars that beat the rules and got screwed over
They both got flags and both made the feature and then was told the next day to load up and go home

(my wecrash post also) The DRIVERS made this show a success! I am Very disappointed at learning that Zach was dq'ed after passing multiple inspections. I am Very disappointed in the Whiners...Oh MY car top window seam isn't welded lilke that! Make "them" cut theirs! I am Very disappointed in the DQing of feature cars on Sunday morning. I know Nathan Brown was DQed and so was Derek Benham. I am Very disappointed in the thought that Chuck-O is a nephew of Smash-it. Making this show REEK of Favoritism!! I'm sorry to say I lost a lot of trust in Smash-It promotions. By the way.....you probably should not discuss the gate recpts in front of the general public where some people can read lips. I was Very upset by the lack of flagging officials. That track is TOO big for only 3 or 4 flagmen and the lack of any air horns on Saturday night. Glad somebody final went to Walmart to get some for Sunday. IF THE CARS PASSED THE INSPEC'S THE FIRST TIME , IT IS THE OFFICIALS FAULT AND THE CARS SHOULD RUN !!! BOTTOM LINE!!!! FAR
AS WHINERS GOES THAT ONLY MEANS ONE THING !! THEY ARE TO FUCKEN LAZY TO WORK ON THIER CARS 110% SO THEY WANT TO CRY ABOUT !!! EITHER RUN WHAT YOU BUILD OR SHUT THE heck UP AND PLAY BAD MITTEN !!! IT WAS A GREAT SHOW !!! GOOD DRIVERS!!! GOOD CARS !!!

Zach Ruhe won the 80's up class then was dq'ed for the rust patch panel that they had already cut at inspection the day before.  Giving the win to the Promoter's NEPHEW!!!!!!!!   Heard 3 others had been dq'ed after inspections and they already had sticks!!!!!!! Yup thats whT I heard too... I had never been treated this unfairly in inspection ever! I had got to the show at 4pm friday.and got to tech about 7pm and had a list of things to do to my car, so I did all thT they asked.. Went back for re inspection and they had like 10guys allbover my car again and had to go cut more poop.. Then I finally got a stick on saturday and when I was in line in heat1 they came and pulled me outta.line and had me cut something else too, AFTER I HAD A STICK!!! And I.seen this happen to several ither cars too, And the funny thing is I know of like 6cars that ran this show that had the exact same build as.my car, and they passed tech with.flying colors.... whats this say?? Very unfair inspection IMO Wishing id of ran Mangeled Metal Team show instead of here!! Oh and I was told when I put.that.guy.on the wall if I put another guy on the wall I was Dqd.. Oh well tho... Zack Ruhe is the winner of this show IMO!!! They gave him a stick he cut what they wanted!!!!!!! Good job to all the.drivers out there!!! Randy Swanson i swear the derbyworld doesnt exist south of carroll county the nephew wins after the dq LOL!!!! when i was told that i was rollin.... vince mcmahon couldn't have done it any better....ref gets knocked out, another ref comes out and makes the 3 count....the first ref gets back up and dqs the guy who got the win for knocking him out....even tho it was the guy that pinned....that knocked him out! i saw we all contribute to the zack ruhe legal defense fund! perception is reality....an example as why, as derbiers, A. no one understands what we do and B. we are look upon as dumb rednecks....(maybe we are?)....just go to anyone, general public.....and say 1st place got dqd and 2nd place won and 2nd place was the guys nephew.....yup.....then tell them it was a demolition derby and their response would be "that sounds about right"......truth be told.... ive said it once ive said it a 100 times....clarks are crooks plain and simple ive never ran portage where my car wasnt loaded....(i wonder if them getting to eat wings for free at the bar had anything to do with that....) anyway....either they were too dumb to find it or just didnt care.....either way  here's what people dont understand....folks are sayin 'if they didnt cheat they'd be ok...' BULLSH-IT....like swanson here said, cut cut cut then ok then cut cut....thats FD up....if you're not 'one of the boys' you're gonna get f'd over by these people.... this past weekend proves that wanna get rid of the controversy....if it shows run it....with a weight limit.....no need to female dog anymore there's no such thing as 'fair' derby when people have unlimited control in what they consider fair.... hope to see everyone at the team show in carrollton next year. unti |

what the issue is seems to be poor low budget promos who want to be BIG time HIGH dollar promos... to many times have promoters offered big money and at the end of the night cant or wont own up to what they have advertised... this is twice that I can think of in Ohio this has happened... first it was bad checks for a12k show and now this ordeal for a 11k show.... Im not gonna say that they wanted to keep the money but it sure as heck looks like it to me... maybe they bit off more than they could chew by having the TBTC show for 8k and the 80s show for 11k... I dont know what the rest of the drivers in the 80s class got paid but knock out the 11k to the winner and the purse drops a lot... makes it easier to pay out to the TBTC class the ,rest of the 80s class, along with the filler classes... this is JMO from what Ive read on here and fb... I wasnt at the derby so its not really my place to say anything but.... ITS THINGS LIKE THIS THAT ARE HURTING THE SPORT MORE THAN HELPING IT...
NOW.... seeing it from a inspectors point of view it seems awfully fishy to me that ZTR got dq'd after the feature even after cutting numerous things... people can say if he didnt cheat then he wouldnt have gotten dq'd...... I CALL BS on that... every set of rules has areas that we all build in that can make or break your night or car.... from the pictures I have seen more than one thing was over looked that would have been cut if the rule set was followed in the tech line by the tech crew... THE ONLY WAY A SHOW WILL SUCCEED IS IF ALL THE CREW IS ON THE SAME PAGE AND DOESN'T SHOW ANY FAVORTISM TO ANYONE OR ANY CAR.... IF ONE GUY LETS THIS PASS THEN THE OTHER GUY LETS THAT PASS AT THE END OF THE NIGHT YOU END UP WITH ORDEALS LIKE THIS... ONCE AGAIN THIS IS STRICTLY MY OPINION AND I AM BY NOW MEANS CHOOSING SIDES JUST STATING THE OBVIOUS...

well wow....these are the same people i guess that went to jerry sandusky's football camp for kids until they were 28.....the workout sucks but darn is showertime a hoot

I'm waiting to hear Tim or Russ to comment on what happened. I would like to hear both sides of the discussion to see where in the middle I see things landing.
I did see quite a few cars making changes after they were sticked. I also saw a few cars Saturday night back at the trailers when I was under the impression all feature cars were to be directed to the impound.
Overall, it was a darn good show....no 3 hour feature with water breaks so that's a strong win in my book and hat off to the drivers who were there to do what they needed to do and not drive around getting groceries.
