Here's the story of the ZTR "11" Car We showed up with the car with rusty rocker panels front to back ,Why a rusty car well that's all we had at the time of show we didn't have time to drive outta state to get a 100% rust free car. Anyways to get to the point of the facts that matter we took our 04 car through the line and they saw metal in the door jamb,Terry"Inspecter" pried open to see how far it was. Then Russ asked if the 11,88x car was done the same way. We replied honestly 88x car was not but 11 car was rusty and we repaired it and he said talk to Tim, Tim said cut across the bottom, He showed us what to cut he put his hands on top of the door where to cut which we did... they saw what was done/cut and said it was enough to the 11 car then said if you cut the 04 car the same way and it can" run" to. They had seen what we had cut and it was good to go and gave both cars sticks. Then Day 2 The 11 car got inspected again, and they gave it the Okay to go in the feature The fact of matter is if it wasn't good enough why did they stick both cars? knowing that it was there they said we cut enough! After the derby was over My brother told Tim that Terry/Russ knew it was up there that far.So Tim pulled Terry and Scott,and Zach to the other end of the track and asked Terry "did you know if it was all the way up?" and he said" yes",after that they were over by the car and There was people standing around that straight heard Zach ask terry if he know it was up the door? and terry said "yes" I wished we would had a heads up with the officials all not being on the same page and the end result was that we lost out at end of the night due to the officiating Here's a pic of what we have cut off so far on the 11 car after the show We will have more detailed pics of the car cut apart shortly Both sides of the car is the same way front to back  |

go to wecrash and see whats up LOL that should be we-spin....it took 3 days to come up with something....well lets go to WC and see whats up and here's some copy/paste from wc "suprised nobody else has done it but here ya go.. in the pic you can see chuck-o's car and brauns car side by side in impound..please tell me why brauns trunk is all cut to heck while chuck-o's car has one small 4x4 hole in the passenger quarter when clearly in the rules it says an 8x8..
hmmmm secondly, i would like to know why the car chuck-o ran had square tubing welded in the top of the door seams?
And lastly why when you(smash it) put all the drivers first and last names up you didnt put chuck clarks(chuck-o)??"i just copied text, but pictures dont lie......people do and thats a good one...how come "chucko's" name wasnt on the drivers list to begin with.....even better, how come his "nickname" is still listed as the winner and not his 'government' as they say in the hood. 11 car got hosed and everyone knows it I cant believe that nobody is talking about the bullcrap of making the 11 and chuck-o go head on at the end That was the first time you guys tried to hose the 11 because chuck o was on the i.v. drip and going head on was the only way he could possibly win.....uhhh quick decision....chuck o has no steering and you could bake a cake on the motor because its so hot...what do you do? lets make them go head on!!!!!!crap that didnt work....plan B lets boot the 11 for a bullcrap rusty rocker panel being welded even though he has a gas tank protector and back window bar which is doing 99.9% of the work. Good call boys more WWE-style derbying. john lauranitis-clark....i can hear it now, "it's what the people wanted" PEOPLE POWER! can't say it any better. load the rockers all u want the gas tank protector and the window bar are doing the work. now what i'd be pissed about, if i was the 3rd place guy getting $1000 and you're cutting my car open? if you need a torch or a drill to inspect a car you A. don't know schitt and B. just putting on a dog and pony show for your own ego. go to wecrash and see whats up LOL there's 2 sides to the story....yours and what happened....you may want to delete that post....because people are going to go. they are smart and able to read thru the crap and see the truth. there was a day when you called people out for their crap on these boards a 100 people would come back and say 'don't hate they are doing it for us'....well i think those days are over. all the people that think they got their $40 money worth of a hard hitting show....thats cool, its your $40.....but are the drivers gonna be back next year? hmmmmmm.....(heck this year at the smash it county fair shows) ztr......i was getting text updates from like 4 diff people as the schitt was going down when it came down to 2 cars.....i told the one kid (that ran also) you're gonna get screwed. you did. when i umpired baseball games for years, if you're 2nd base ump made a bad call, the other manager argues it you NEVER upstaged the 2nd base ump and overturn his call.....if i as the homeplate ump did that i would be putting down my crew....in other words....i would have been on a massive ego trip to prove "i know everything, im in charge!" thats what happened to you....the homeplate ump showed his crew....why? it doesnt happen in MLB....shady...... it's an insult to the sport and an insult to you as a person that one man so high mighty has to treat you like a POS. thank you for posting your side for the derby community to read because the truth is kinda cool..... oh.......PEOPLE POWER ztr |

A guy goes thru inspection multiple times and the promoter sees something he doesn't like tells the driver to cut this cut that and you can run. Passes the guy finally and allows him to run. Then DQ's the guy after the show for something he and his officials knew about? Is it really true that family was awarded the money??? If that is true this is shady as heck. You've definitely given your company a major major black eye. or one of my personal favs.... Ya i wonder why Chucko didnt have.to have.the two 8by8 holes..
heck my buddy had 2 8by8holes but the was to far from syrapping so he had to put two more in closer to the strapping...hmm I GUESS THATS FAIR TOO?? so please......go to the WC and see whats up......thanks which begs the question.......if the holes weren't 8x8 a post inspection would show that....if they aren't 8x8 thats added metal.......2nd place by definition (If at any event I have that I find a plated car before during or after the derby that person cheated and will not get to continue or paid at that event you know you can't do it so don't.) should have been DQ'd also....AND THATS OBVIOUS PLAIN AS DAY AND EVERYONE SEEN IT. |

Didn't Smash It make the top 2 cars hit head on last year also when they were playing chess? I don't remember it being brought up last year after the show, but seen it in the youtube videos of 2011.
Smash It rules pretty clearly state rust repair in floors and roof only...
Chuck-o car had holes in his trunk. He had cut flaps and had them pulled up.
I'm not sticking up for SmashIt, but thought it was a really good show and hate I didn't get my car done in time to be a part of the Bash class. I've seen alot worse at other big shows, it was just contained alot quieter.

I would count the rocker panels of the car as the floor of the car... I mean the rocker panels is what holds the floor broads in and what the cross braces under neath the car connect to other wise we be just sitting on sheet metal

Lol atleast give me credit.bud:-P credit this stuff has just reached pure roflmao now....between daddy defending jr's car, daddy works for promoter, keeping it all in the family......pure derby comedy gold. it reminds me of the one time in high school i got called down to the principals office.....the librarian ratted me out for "making fun of a kid because he's deaf". we were having a conversation about who's the better QB john elway (who i said was) or bernie kosar...... so the principal asks me were you making fun of chris because he is deaf.....i told her and i quote "no im making fun of him because he's stupid" the moral of the story....stupid appears to be a disability that qualifies you for handicap parking when it comes to derbyin' |

was 'chuck-o' and "i'm chuck-o's dad you all suck" working the smashit show this past weekend?
i just had one person vaguely tell me they were.......
but, the rest of the year......keep your open for 'chuck-o' and 'i'm chuck-o's dad' working for the company store at a county fair near you
