What has to be done to get this site really rolling? Can we do anything about the lack of followers or is it just going to be this way forever cuz its hard to fight "followers".... I want to see this site take over and get views quality is better than quantity what do ya want some kid who's SN ends in 214 tellin ya how unloaded/nonwelded 80s caddys are better than 98 p71s and if you tell him he's wrong he sits at him and starts cutting himself with a razor blade? we all know better.... the real 'tips' people are not giving up let things fall as the may and just see what happens If you read into the rules as unloaded and nonwelded I would also suspect the rules do not allow all of the other modifications such as tilting, leaf conversions, bumper swaps, rear end swaps, etc. that favor the weaknesses of the vics. If this is the case I would also take the 80's caddy any day of the week over the vic. If the rules don't allow any of the modifications to help the Ford become dominate then I think the 80's caddy will win hands down. If the rules however allow at least some of the modifications then you are correct so technically both of you are correct depending on the rules. It is time to face reality on the vics. If they are not allowed to do the extra things in my opinion they don't compete. It is because promoters allow these specific cars to do so much more than their counterparts that give them the advantage. If you allowed the caddy to do things to fix their weak areas as well I think everyone would see a whole new ball game. Allow all cars to do leaf conversions, fix items at the firewall, weld in new engine cradles, plate the weak areas of the frame on car you are running and then we will see how tough the vic actually is. With this type of change I will take a suicide or a 68-74 caddy any day of the week assuming imperials are still banned and we will see just how strong the vic actually is. |

the point kinda is/was who cares about 'tips' when it comes to something that isn't exactly a science (i.e. d. bryans axle thread = brain food good info)
i mean really....if you need a 'tips' section
a piece of paper with some 'rules' on it is kinda insulting.....i dont need someone to tell me how to build a derby car

Jon he pm'ed me saying i sure am talking alot of bs that they would see me next year. where and when does these monkeys try and derby i just might have to build a new model for it. where and what kinda rules? Got a 03 frame waiting to eat!!!!

The board of directors has begun. Take a look at the general board. There are now 3 ads with more to come. I already have to scroll have way down the page as it sits now to get to anything of relevance.

That is pretty close but you also need to change illegal to anti money making. Here is a link to the post from Tory naming the board of directors. we-crash.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=27859. Interesting that they need people to pony up the money to keep a free site running. All they have to pay for is the wecrash.com domain name which should only cost around $12 a year. It is also by the way still registered under Ultimate Derbies owned by Sam and Wade. I would think Tory could come up with $12 a year if he truly is in it to help the derby community. He could even right it off on his taxes as advertising for derby icons if he worked it right. My site costs $100 a year with the domain name and the hosting. I am willing to pay for it out of my pocket because I do care about the derby community. |
