MODIFIED 2012
1. Must be hardtop automobile to participate. The following cars are not ALLOWED to participate, VANS, FOUR WHEELDRIVES, JEEPS, CONVERTABLES, HEARSES, LIMOUSINE.
2. The following must be removed prior to entering fairground: windshield side windows rear windows headlights taillights all lenses all chrome and mirrors.
3. Sharp objects must be smashed down or cut off. Interior must be swept clean of all debris and loose objects or and potential dangers.
4. GAS TANKS: stock gas tank must be removed. Stock gas tank cannot be used as a fuel tank. No plastic tanks or portable gas cans. Must be approved fuel line. Must be a safe derby style and MUST BE SECURELY MOUNTED in rear area. Tanks must be covered with a rubber mat. ABSOLUTELY NO GAS TANK PROTECTORS!!!!!!!!!!
5. Electric fuel pumps: You must have a cutoff switch within drivers reach and it must be clearly marked on and off! You should double clamp connections! MUST BE SET UP SAFELY!
6. Interior and trunk: All carpet seats mats debris and unsecured objects must be removed!
7. Holes in firewall : If you cut a hole you Must cover it with a rubber mat to prevent any fluids from entering the drivers compartment.
8. Batteries: Battery must be moved to passenger floor and SECURLY MOUNTED! You may have one (1) 12 volt battery only. No 24 volt systems!
9. Tires: Tires of your choice other than studded snow tires! No bolts or screws to hold tires to rim. YOU MAY HAVE VALVE STEM PROTECTORS!
10. Transmissions and oil coolers: None inside the driver compartment! Original coolers only and must be in engine compartment and must be safe.
11. Bumpers: 80 and newer bumpers only! No stuffing or plating of bumper! You may weld bumper shock mounting plates to frame but must not be excessively done! You may weld 2 4x4 inch plates from bumper to frame must not be excessively done. No sharp points on end of bumpers. CUT FOR CLEARANCE ONLY!
12. Height limit: 21” from bottom of the bumper to ground. MUST NOT BE LOWER THAN 18” from bottom of bumper to the ground! No pre bending of frame to get around height rule! Pre run cars will be official decision. DO NOT CHANGE HEIGHT AFTER INSPECTION IF NOTICED YOU WILL NOT RUN!
13. Radiator: Size of choice. No reinforcing of radiator. You may use wire, rubber straps, stock brackets or 2 pieces of all thread no bigger than 5/8in behind radiator to run thru bottom core support only! You may strap radiator all thread. No homemade brackets coming off engine.
14. Doors: You may seam weld or plate weld. Plates may not be wider than 3”wide and ¼ thick. NO WELDING OF WINDOW FRAME AREA! You may wire or band this area not excessively. YOU MAY NOT WIRE UP AND DOWN OF REAR WINDOWS!
15. Trunk, Hatch, Tailgate: You may seam weld only. NO PLATE WELDING IN THIS AREA! You may bolt, 9 wire or chain if not welding. You may run 2 pieces of all thread from trunk deck to trunk pan only! (sheet metal to sheet metal only) must have hole in trunk for inspection. Trunk lid must be in stock position. Minimal pre bending no tucking or moving forward or wedging!
16. Hood: You may run with no hood if so you must run plastic fan or NO FAN at all!
17. Body Mounts: You may change bolts no BIGGER than ¾ bolts. Washers on top of body no bigger than 4”. Washers on bottom no bigger than 3”and must be inside frame. We must be able to see inside frame for inspection. You must leave body rubbers in or hockey pucks or stack of washers and must be minimum of 1” gap between frame and body. NO BOLTING DIRECT NO WELDING OF WASHERS TO FRAME AND NO EXTRA BODY BOLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!
18. Core supports: You may run all thread thru core support and use 2 of your hood mounting points no larger than ¾ . You may weld a piece of 2” wide flat steel across top of core support no thicker than 3/8. It may not be no longer than 1” past radiator on either side and may not tie into all thread or hood bolts.
19. Frames 100% stock only!! No extra welding, stuffing, welding frame seams or plating! No painting, undercoating or covering frame in any way. The only exception to the rule: pre ran cars that are obviously bent may have no more than 3 patch plates 3x3 in size 3/8 thick. These may not be in sequence! Must be outside of frame. Modified 80 and newer only may run arch plates! It must be centered on arch and no longer than 22” and no wider than the frame and no thicker than 3/8. It must follow contour of frame not straight across! If you have any questions call before you do it!
20. Body: The only welding on the body of cars will be in these places : DOORS, TRUNK, TAILGATE ONLY outside seams only. No bolting of body panels together!
21. Suspension: Must be able to bounce! No solid suspension! You may use spring risers in front and rear coil springs. You may use shocks of choice. No welding of A-FRAMES or springs must be factory. You may wire chain or clamp rear coil springs You may reinforce tie rod ends not excessively . You may lengthen or shorten for rear end pitch. You may reinforce trailing arms but must be operable. No altering of front or rear sway bars in anyway you can remove it!
22. Rear ends : No more than 5 lugs , no 8 lug rear ends. You may use rear end protector as long as it doesn’t reinforce frame in any way. To protect gear only!!!
23. Drive shafts: You may use slip shafts. You may use steering of choice as long as it doesn’t reinforce.
24. Cages: You may run 4 point cage with roll over bar.1 dash bar must be 6” off firewall 1 bar behind seat no farther back than 6”. Roll over bar must connect to back bar and go straight up. All bars are to be no larger than 4”in diameter with a plate no larger than 6” welded on the end. These are to be welded to sheet metal only. Must be no more than 6 ”from the floor pan. No crossing bars no kickers or welding excessively just whats needed to be safe. In one spot you may use 9 wire from roof to dash bar or cowl no chains plates or pipes no other windows may be wired up and down or bars.
25. Engines and transmissions: Any 8 cylinder may be used in 80 and newer modifieds only. You may cross breed engine and trans. NO DISTRIBUTOR PROTECTORS!!! Engines must be in stock position. No homemade mounts, bars, chains, plates, or engine cages of any kind. No skid plates. You may weld a 7” long angle to frame if needed to move cross member. No extra bars added to transmission or cross member used to reinforce. *ONLY exception you may run one 6” tall by 3” stump in front of carburetor only.
Mini trucks and Compact rules 2012
1. Any compact no SUV’S
2. No 4 door compact trucks (4x4’s ok no front leafs or front drive shafts allowed)
3. No split rims
4. 23” height limit no lower than 18” truck must bounce!
5. 7 springs per side. No leaf over main allowed. Springs must have 2” taper. 2 clamps in front and 2 in back per side.
6. Rear ends may be changed.
7. Front bumpers may be changed. Must be 80 and newer. Shock tubes allowed must not be more than 10”long. No step bumper on front. Any stock back bumper allowed. Bumpers may not be welded to sheet metal weld to frame only. Weld must not be excessive!
8. Four point cage MANDATORY no bigger than 5” 4 kickers to floor pan you may not weld to frame. You may run 1 extra cowl bar. You may run rollover must be straight up and down.
9. Cab may have extra body bolts as many as you want. Beds can have no more than 8 bolts. Bed and cab may be bolted together. No bigger than ¾ bolts. 5” plates may be used in bed for washers.
10. Gas tanks must be mounted in center of bed against cab
11. . Metal tanks only. Fuel lines must be run under truck along frame rail. If electric pump is used it must have shut off switch that is clearly marked on/off.
12. Battery must be mounted in passenger floor only one 12volt battery no 24 volt set ups.
13. Rust in floorboards may be fixed.
14. Doors must be welded! Doors may be plate welded no wider than 3” wide ¼ thick. Tailgates may be seam welded only. Bed sides may be seam welded to cab no more than 12” on each side.
15. Hoods may be 9 wired or bolted in 4 spots.
16. No body seams welded.
17. No reinforcements to body or frame unless stated.
18. If you do not have headers out the hood you must have a 6”hole in center of hood.
19. No trailer hitches
20. No rolling of bedsides! May cut for clearance only.
21. All trucks will be inspected by officials.
Compact rules *ALL LARGE CAR RULES APPLY UNLESS STIPULATED* NO AMC’S * MUSTANGS MAY RUN WITH 80 NEWER COIL SPRUNG ONLY*
1. Wheel base limit is 98” front wheel drive is 106”
2. Only 4 cyl allowed
3. 12 volt system only no 24volts allowed
4. Leaf springs (only if equipped from factory) You must have stock thickness rear springs. No extra leaf springs. None over the main. And a 5 leaf limit and must have 1 ½ stagger on each spring. You cannot use longer main leafs that go against back frame. No after market or homemade shackles (stock shackles only). Spring clamps 2 in front and 2 in rear may not exceed 1”wide ¼ thick no welding of springs. Do not attempt to add or alter springs or shackles after inspection. We will be checking before you enter track.
5. Electric fuel pumps must be safely installed and must have on/off switch clearly marked.
6. Gas tanks must not reinforce car in any way.
STOCK CLASS
1. Must be 100% stock!! No cross breeding. Entire drive must be same make as car (chevy to chevy, ford to ford).
2. Engine must be mounted with stock mounts in stock position. No welding of mounts bolted only. No homemade cross members, cross members must be stock and bolted in not welded.
3. Doors must be chained or wired. No more than 6 places.
4. Trunks must be chained or wired. No more than 4 places. TRUNKS MUST BEOPEN DURING INSPECTION! No welding or adding metal. Trunk lid must be in stock location. No tucking, wedging, pre bending, smashing, folding or anything else you can think of. No welding washers for holes.
5. Hoods may be wired or chained in 4 spots. ¼ chain or 2 strands per hole. It must be sheet metal to sheet metal only. No welding washers for holes. Must be 12” hole in hood in case of fire. Remove hood latch!!! Hood must be open for inspection.
6. Must use car tires p series tubeless type only, no tractor, truck or foam filled tires no valve stem protectors.
7. Must have stock gas tank in stock location no exceptions. Must only have 3 gallons of gas. You may be asked to drain it if the gauge doesnt work.
8. Windshield must be left in car!
9. The following must be removed prior to entering the fairgrounds, windows except windshield, headlights, tail lights, all chrome and mirrors. Interior must be swept clean of debris and glass.
10. Stock type springs and shocks. No solid suspension. No spring risers, wire, chains or any weld on rear ends or rear spring pockets. Cars must bounce & cars must be STOCK!!!!!
11. Do not strip car! Leave front and rear header panels. Strip only whats specified!
12. Car must look and be stock!
13. Paint front doors in contrasting paint. Example if the car is black paint doors white.
14. Do not strip under the hood.
15. Battery must be in stock location. But you may put rubber mat over it or spray with foam around it not excessively. Do not spray foam on anything else.
16. Do not weld rear ends stock only!
17. Read all rules carefully and follow them! It will be a cheap easy build. Any questions call! There will be no stretching or bending of any rules or you will either run in the modified class or go home.
LAWN MOWERS
1. Mower must be a factory available mower, lawn or garden (no homemade frames).
2. No rear engine lawn mowers are allowed.
3. Engine must be factory lawn mower engine such as briggs & Stratton, Tecumseh, Onan, etc..
4. All frame modification and frame reinforcing will be allowed.
5. Trans axels must be factory available mower trans axels but any reinforcing and or welding of spider gears is permitted.
6. Engine bay reinforcing is permitted but must be contained inside of hood and must maintain factory body lines.
7. All mowers must run a factory hood and fenders, You must have the hood either screwed or welded down to dash panel around drivers area (note if hood is fiberglass you can make one out of sheet metal only but it must be the same size as the fiber glass one).
8. Mowers must have good brakes and forward and reverse gears at the start of the heat.
9. Gas tanks must be secured and have a cap. Any gas leaking and you will be asked to shut down!
10. Leg guards are mandatory and must be bolted and or welded from rear fender to front of foot rest of frame.
11. A rear bumper is permitted but is not allowed to extend more than 4”out and it must stay in between the tires. Also no spikes sharp edges or any protrusions allowed. Bumpers can be sq tubing or similar.
12. Regarding and changing pulleys to increase speed is permitted and encouraged.
13. Any and all of drive train modifications are permitted but must be belt driven.
14. All mowers must use a lawn mower type wheel. Tractor treads and cut tires are permitted, but no tire chains or dual wheels will be allowed.
15. Mower decks must be removed.
16. All headlights and any other glass and plastics must be removed before entering pit area.
17. Batteries must be removed from mower and only used to jump start mower before the heat begins, if pull start is used driver will not be permitted to restart the engine during heat.
18. No front bumpers. You can build up the front of the frame and underneath the grill to hit with. The front of the mower must be a smooth finish for safety.
19. If a driver touches the ground with a hand or foot driver is out.
20. For safety if mower does roll over all drivers must stop and wait until driver is out and mowers is uprighted and is removed from track.
21. Please put your numbers on each side of mower or your helmet so we can track who you are.
22. All ground rules will be goover in the drivers meeting.
23. Mower inspections will be done by drivers. If you see something ask questions and learn! This is a new sport a we want it to grow. I will have an official walking thru pits before the heats. If there is any misunderstandings of the rules please get me or an official to have them make changes.
24. NEW FOR 2012 JR mower ages 12-15 with proof of age so make sure you brink proper identification to prove your age or you may be put with the adult class.
25. Keep in mind your safety and others.
26. Before any payouts we may ask to look inside the mower for any batteries , chain driven set ups, or shaft types.

3. 12 volt system only no 24volts allowed
4. Leaf springs (only if equipped from factory) You must have stock thickness rear springs. No extra leaf springs. None over the main. And a 5 leaf limit and must have 1 ½ stagger on each spring. You cannot use longer main leafs that go against back frame. No after market or homemade shackles (stock shackles only). Spring clamps 2 in front and 2 in rear may not exceed 1”wide ¼ thick no welding of springs. Do not attempt to add or alter springs or shackles after inspection. We will be checking before you enter track.
5. Electric fuel pumps must be safely installed and must have on/off switch clearly marked.
6. Gas tanks must not reinforce car in any way.
STOCK CLASS
1. Must be 100% stock!! No cross breeding. Entire drive must be same make as car (chevy to chevy, ford to ford).
2. Engine must be mounted with stock mounts in stock position. No welding of mounts bolted only. No homemade cross members, cross members must be stock and bolted in not welded.
3. Doors must be chained or wired. No more than 6 places.
4. Trunks must be chained or wired. No more than 4 places. TRUNKS MUST BEOPEN DURING INSPECTION! No welding or adding metal. Trunk lid must be in stock location. No tucking, wedging, pre bending, smashing, folding or anything else you can think of. No welding washers for holes.
5. Hoods may be wired or chained in 4 spots. ¼ chain or 2 strands per hole. It must be sheet metal to sheet metal only. No welding washers for holes. Must be 12” hole in hood in case of fire. Remove hood latch!!! Hood must be open for inspection.
6. Must use car tires p series tubeless type only, no tractor, truck or foam filled tires no valve stem protectors.
7. Must have stock gas tank in stock location no exceptions. Must only have 3 gallons of gas. You may be asked to drain it if the gauge doesnt work.
8. Windshield must be left in car!
9. The following must be removed prior to entering the fairgrounds, windows except windshield, headlights, tail lights, all chrome and mirrors. Interior must be swept clean of debris and glass.
10. Stock type springs and shocks. No solid suspension. No spring risers, wire, chains or any weld on rear ends or rear spring pockets. Cars must bounce & cars must be STOCK!!!!!
11. Do not strip car! Leave front and rear header panels. Strip only whats specified!
12. Car must look and be stock!
13. Paint front doors in contrasting paint. Example if the car is black paint doors white.
14. Do not strip under the hood.
15. Battery must be in stock location. But you may put rubber mat over it or spray with foam around it not excessively. Do not spray foam on anything else.
16. Do not weld rear ends stock only!
17. Read all rules carefully and follow them! It will be a cheap easy build. Any questions call! There will be no stretching or bending of any rules or you will either run in the modified class or go home.
LAWN MOWERS
1. Mower must be a factory available mower, lawn or garden (no homemade frames).
2. No rear engine lawn mowers are allowed.
3. Engine must be factory lawn mower engine such as briggs & Stratton, Tecumseh, Onan, etc..
4. All frame modification and frame reinforcing will be allowed.
5. Trans axels must be factory available mower trans axels but any reinforcing and or welding of spider gears is permitted.
6. Engine bay reinforcing is permitted but must be contained inside of hood and must maintain factory body lines.
7. All mowers must run a factory hood and fenders, You must have the hood either screwed or welded down to dash panel around drivers area (note if hood is fiberglass you can make one out of sheet metal only but it must be the same size as the fiber glass one).
8. Mowers must have good brakes and forward and reverse gears at the start of the heat.
9. Gas tanks must be secured and have a cap. Any gas leaking and you will be asked to shut down!
10. Leg guards are mandatory and must be bolted and or welded from rear fender to front of foot rest of frame.
11. A rear bumper is permitted but is not allowed to extend more than 4”out and it must stay in between the tires. Also no spikes sharp edges or any protrusions allowed. Bumpers can be sq tubing or similar.
12. Regarding and changing pulleys to increase speed is permitted and encouraged.
13. Any and all of drive train modifications are permitted but must be belt driven.
14. All mowers must use a lawn mower type wheel. Tractor treads and cut tires are permitted, but no tire chains or dual wheels will be allowed.
15. Mower decks must be removed.
16. All headlights and any other glass and plastics must be removed before entering pit area.
17. Batteries must be removed from mower and only used to jump start mower before the heat begins, if pull start is used driver will not be permitted to restart the engine during heat.
18. No front bumpers. You can build up the front of the frame and underneath the grill to hit with. The front of the mower must be a smooth finish for safety.
19. If a driver touches the ground with a hand or foot driver is out.
20. For safety if mower does roll over all drivers must stop and wait until driver is out and mowers is uprighted and is removed from track.
21. Please put your numbers on each side of mower or your helmet so we can track who you are.
22. All ground rules will be goover in the drivers meeting.
23. Mower inspections will be done by drivers. If you see something ask questions and learn! This is a new sport a we want it to grow. I will have an official walking thru pits before the heats. If there is any misunderstandings of the rules please get me or an official to have them make changes.
24. NEW FOR 2012 JR mower ages 12-15 with proof of age so make sure you brink proper identification to prove your age or you may be put with the adult class.

26. Before any payouts we may ask to look inside the mower for any batteries , chain driven set ups, or shaft types.
