Hello. For a litte post on the "NO WAY" side of things (since this thread is not much about any thing any way). Months ago, Craig Stava wanted Ben Blum to work on a snow machine. This is the 200 actual mile, sled, that Monte (Stava) had, was riding, when he dropped 40 feet and crashed. The sled was damaged when it hit Monte in the back near the end of the crash. Long story short, Monte's broken back slowly led to his death a little over a year ago. Well, Ben called Craig and said that yesterday (Sunday 10 - 21) would work for him to tig weld on the sled, since he was done with harvest. I met Craig and Ben and then helped (a little) pound , bend, form, and rebuild parts of the machine. All went well after about four hours work. The machine is back in operation with no coolant leaks.

10 - 21 is/was Monte Stava's birthday.

MONTE, YOU ALWAYS HAD A BIG SMILE AND TOOK TIME TO THANK DONNA AND I FOR COMING TO THE AUCTIONS. YOU WILL BE MISSED.... ON ANOTHER WEIRD SIDE NOT. I BOUGHT MONTES "FISHING CAR", THE 74 CAPRICE CONVERTIBLE AT THE FIRST AUCTION, KEPT UNTIL ABOUT A MONTH AGO AND ROBBED THE ROLLING FRAME TO PUT UNDER A 72 SEDAN BODY, WHEN THE GUY THAT CAME TO BUY ANOTHER SEDAN LOOKED UNDER IT HIS REPLY WAS ( AND IM NOT KIDDING) "NO WAY, THAT FITS?" HE BOUGHT IT AND IT WILL BE DERBIED IN 2013. I AM SURE MONTE WOULD HAVE LIKE THAT..

Maybe he just builds a better car than you? Maybe he can just drive better than you? The car has bent and is not double frammed or full of steel.

Anyway per CRUSHER this car isnt even close to being built

Jake is a heck of a guy and driver as long as he keeps all 4 wheels on the ground.

good for him loaded cars are awesome
if more people actually 'built' cars county fairs wouldnt be replacing derbies with lame a$$ hillbilly mud trucks or greased pig chasing

I was also at the california derby and finished second against dmp yes his car is hard but it did start bending in the front made severl front end shots alot of fun as far as cheated i dont know built a compition car yes there was only 8 big cars so who ever that other person is i dont know cause i knew everyone there and all the cars were built well his was just built a little better but nice guy with hard car
