THERE WILL BE A SUICIDE GOING TO MAYHEM THIS YEAR, AND IT'S GOING FOR TORY. UP AND OVER THE WALL, HERE IT COMES!!!! I have no opinion either way on the issue concerning DI, but when a comment of this nature is put out for all to see, its not only completely wrong in every way, but it proves to the the nay sayers of our sport that their opinion of us being a bunch of inbreed drunkin hillbillies is spot on. No matter what a driver or promotor has done to piss someone off, short of rape and murder, this type of comment should never be allowed on a public forum period. JMO |

Hello. I did not read it, simply heard about it: Tory has the "hard driver of the month". Nice thread I did read a long time ago. I heard though, one month, was a "hard puncher of the month" Now from what I got, he liked the idea of a fight? Was a good thing?
Now, what to think about that? Do comments of this nature get a free pass? Is this completely wrong in every way? What does this prove to the nay sayers?

No Dave.
He honored Ryan Sweat of Utah the hard hitter of the month. It was noted as such for many days in regards to "Kings of Crash".
Once the episode aired in which Ryan was involved in a tussle, the name of the thread was changed to "hard puncher of the month" as a joke.
It is what it is.
This other a$$bag makes a blind claim that he's gonna drive a suicide up over the berm, and run Tory over. I dont have a dog in the fight. i dont know nothing about this derby icons conspiracy yada yada. Saying something like that however, is just idiotic, whether your intentions are literal or not.

Hello Wes. Still, to honor a person who gets "in a tussle" is right? As a joke? Did it state this. What I got, it sounded to be a good thing, not a very bad thing that was condoned. I have not watched all of Kings of Crash. I did see the episode of the assult. No joke, no intentions there. It happened, for all the kids of the world to see. Yes, assult, not so sure about tussle. Now, do I take the kmh9010 post about going after Tory as literal? no, not really. Perhaps more of a joke than what I watched on the video. All for now. David Bryan

Literal or not. It's still full-blown chicken-poop to say youre gonna run someone over as an anonymous personality on a message board. Maybe I am in the wrong because I have the balls (and sometimes stupidity) to stand behind everything I say.
The fight? We just see it from different angles maybe, I guess? I see it as for drama and nothing more. Maybe I'm completely missing your point, but the notating of the thread itself as "hard puncher" was the joke, not the actual fight. I wish that part would not have been aired. But again, it is what it is.

we watched a crime filmed and aired on tv....or did we?
(because i have to spell out my 'points')
i see it as 2 willing participants, they knew what was going to happen and the people around knew what was going to happen. whens the last time you saw a fight in a crowd that didnt have a dozen people end up involved somehow.
was it a fight? no.....staged to play to some sort of script....man defends womans honor - look how tight knit this family is
to davids point....yup the world saw it so that makes it 'real' in their eyes.
