2012 Battle at the Border Cayuga, IN Pomoted by: DERBY ICONS November 3, 2012
Plan on another great show!
We WILL repair the track! We WILL obtain more pit bleachers! We WILL have a great sound system! We WILL set a guaranteed payout!
You have spoken and we have listened! Thanks for the feedback
DerbyIcons.com are very proud to add this great show to our schedule. We look forward to working with the organizers and the local drivers. We are going to fix what needs to be fixed but we will keep what is great about this show intact
Dave and I have been discussing the rules, it will for sure be our fair rules, which allow hump plates, leafing, etc... Mixed old and new iron too. We will also work with existing cars in the transition years and allow more welding than normal. More to come
Full frame cars are not allowed, so Montes are not allowed in the compact class. We hear that exact same arguement everytime, but Luminas are not very dominate and rarely win one of our shows

How about a mower derby for this show.I know of at least 6-8 mowers that would show up and run from my area.

Highly doubt it .....DI is not known for their mower derbies.

That's the reason I hadn't planned on going back.
Look how messed up the three shows that would be ran at Cayuga would be this year if DI had BATB. . .. The spring show is going off their 2011 full weld rules that Chad officiated over for a few years. Their fair show is ran by TE with A-Arms forward frame welding and the BATB under DI rules with leaf spring conversions for new style would be the third set of rules to run at one place in the same year!

Di will be officiating this event with the 2011 CFD rules in place. This will allow cars built for other Cayuga events to compete in this event as well
NO rule changes for 2012.
