I'm running a sbc and just got a hoffmeister front plate...is there a way u can cut out the water pump holes and bolt your water pump to the block and still use a radiator and factoryp.s.? If not any one sell a spacer for the lower pulley? 1/2"

Hello. A few thoughts. Hoffmeister should be able to answer this for you. You are not the first to ask this, I am sure. They should have a solution. If the front plate uses the water pump holes in the block, I would not cut out the plate. My thought is, possibly, use a "short" water pump (pre 1969?). The short pump is 1 5/8" shorter than the "common" water pump. It may be easier to space out the top pulley. There are lower pully spacers available at Speedway Motors (1800 979 0122) part number 910-38815-.250 is 1/4" thick. You would need two for a 1/2" plate. That may help. David Bryan
