building an 84 merc.. I want to lower the a s s end but how low is too low? and do you still dimple or notch rear with it bulldogged? I am thinking of going like 14-15 inches from ground to top of bumper. I have to get my rear set before i look at the tilt any thoughts, failures, or suggestions would be appreciated thanks

what kind of suspension? leafs or coils? are you allowed hump plates? frame creasing? IMO thats really what determines how low you can drop the back end

rear is coils.. can weld the front solid.. no hump plates..can notch frame crease dimple whatever.. i normally lock the rear solid UP about 21 -22 inches... just wanted to try something a little different.. i was thinkin about putting the rear bumper at about 14 inches to the top.. going to be running 14's on the rear with a vic steel rear bumper.. we are allowed gas tank protectors but it must be free floating and not extend to the speaker deck area..

Lowest I'd go without hump plates is 17 inches from the ground in the rear and hope not to take a crazy Trackshot back there
