Dave I understand where you are coming from and I'm with you but I think there is no turning back now. They have made the new wecrash to colorful and to fancy. If you don't have the best phone and home computer it is slow have used a few different computers and everyone of my friends have phones about 10% say it's the same as the old site. The rest have went to other sites and won't go back because it's to slow.I have posted this several times and alot agree but some say it works fine for them, well great but it don't for me.So if I need to read or post on a tread it takes to long. This site works fine on my phone and so didn't the old wecrash. So they left me no option come here.I will go to the new wecrash some but that like it was. Thanks Larry JMO

First of all, I appreciate all of you and the contributions you have made to the old site and the time and work you have spent putting this site together. With that said, I have to tell you my opinion. I certainly mean no disrespect and I hope you will take this for what it is... My Opinion. I had some problems with the new wecrash along with everyone else. My problems were quickly resolved. That site is a work in progress and I really believe that they are trying to respond to complaints. I, like many of you do not care for the attitudes of some of the moderators, but I believe, in time, all of that will be rectified. With that said, I believe that fragmenting the derby community is not a good thing. With all of our support, I sincerely believe that the new wecrash can become all that the old site was and probably a lot more. I would love to see us all stick together and positively and productively help develop a site that will serve all of our needs. I value the input and opinions of all of you, I know many of you and I would love to see us all remain the one big happy dysfunctional family that we have become. We cannot do that if we separate to our own little kingdoms. Just my 2 cents.... David Gard This is fine in theory but as the old saying goes you can't put the cart ahead of the horse. I know there has been a lot of time and money put into it by both the premium advertisers as well as Sam, Wade, and their developer. It was not ready to be released and if you asked me today if it was ready to be released I would still say no. As a computer technician I realize that a drastic change like has occurred is bound to have a few issues and bugs that need to be worked out. What I saw during the initial release was more than a few bugs and issues. It would have been better to open it up as a beta site where users could interact with it and develop it while keeping proboards open. Wecrash hurt themselves by saying either use what is there or find somewhere else and shut down the old site forcing users to play their hand. With that attitude the users did exactly that and went somewhere else. We now have these posts asking us to all come back to a site that as you said is still in development with the hopes that somewhere down the road it will turn into something. They still haven't fixed the issue with the forum size as compared to the ads and background images and such. It still doesn't work the best on a phone. It is extremely slow to load due to all the pictures, ads, etc. and I have a 30 Mbps connection to the internet which is very fast. The attitude of the higher ups is still take it or leave it as far as everything I have seen. Once some of these issues are solved then the family may come together again. (RANT OVER)

While I respect your opinion and your right to speak it I disagree with the entire concept of "fragmenting". Whats wrong with having choices? I visit more then just this site and i'm sure others are the same way. I do not feel this or any other derby site is hurting anything, why should Wecrash get to be a monopoly? People are not sheep, they will not be led or hearded, they will go where they choose.

I understand what you are saying but it is a pain to go to 2-3 sites to list ads or derbys. Then going to the same answering questions about your derbys.I liked the old way but that is gone.To many guys from Indiana have went to different sites if you don't keep up with them all your show will suffer.I don't have time to go to all the sites everyday and keep up on everything.

Not here to bash wecrash, Tory or you Dave....But the entire arguement against "Fragmenting" the derby community is slightly hypocritical..Isnt that what happened when wecrash was formed??I was a member of the IDDA when Tory started promoting his vision.....I witnessed first hand the deleteing of any post mentioning wecrash. So now here we are back to the same point with wecrash now taking on the role of the IDDA/Dargo stance of if you want to be on my site great....If not be quiet? I have never met Tory,Wade,or Sam...It just feels like the vibe has changed over there......With Tory it felt alot like a group of buddies just swapping ideas and such.....Now it feels to much like a bussiness.....Just my opinion.

It has grown a lot in a couple of weeks and Id say a lot of the top users of the old wecrash are here. I logged in to the new wecrash a couple of days ago and I still hate it. It takes forever to navigate and I havent figured out a way to see all the new posts for the entire site like I can on a proboards forum. It also is not easy on the eyes and very slow. Although I am not a fan of the buyout and how everything went down I have no hatred or ill feelings to anyone but I just cant use that site.

I agree with Jimmy, I would like to see more positive attitudes. But in the same post I'd like to add how impressed I am with the amount of respect each of you are showing each other on this thread.

I used to spend a fair amount of time scrolling through the vendors checking things out. The way it is laid out now on WeCrash is funky...I spend considerably less time there now. Take a brand new site like www.DerbyThis.com It is easy to make a transition to, works well & the PM functions are great. Not to mention it is about drivers helping drivers. Builders helping builders. {No disrespect to wesmash just pointing out different software} I kinda like the not for profit, pitch in & make it work out for everyone attitude of this site & others like it. Regards, Matt Smith

I believe that this whole "fragmenting" idea is going to be short lived. People are going to end up going where everyone else goes, and as of right now my opinion is that most will end up here because this site has the same principles as the original wecrash. Drivers helping drivers, free advertising, and it is just flat @ss easier to navigate over here. First it was IDDA, then wecrash, and maybe now it is wesmash. Time will tell, but Wade and his crew took one h@ll of a gamble investing whatever money they have and then making that amount of changes without getting and listening to the opinions of those who actually use the site.
The bottom line is time will tell. I like this forum a lot, but if nobody uses it then I will end up where everyone else is. People will go where they can get the most information and most options for buying cars/products in the easiest way possible.
