We will be running an AutoCross race next saturday MArch 3rd at Lucas Oil Stadium. Only taking 15 cars. If you are interested in running, contact JR 765-238-8012. We will be running before the monster trucks.

Lucas Oil Stadium Saturday March3rd. Drivers meeting at 3pm. We will draw for starting spots during the meeting. If you are not there, you will start at the tail. We will race right after the pit party (5:30 to 6:30 time frame). Not sure if cars will be able to go in for the pit party or not, if you want the chance, be at the stadium by 11am.

I was told 1 and half laps then a wreck and injury ended the race...

Shawn Reece did an end over end flip and landed back on his wheels. He was shooken up pretty bad but kept going for another lap then Marty Turner got bumped into a dumpster and needed help getting out of his car. At that time Shawn had layed down in his car (comvolsing (sp)) trying not to hurt himself sitting in the seat. Monster Jam red flagged it and by time they got shawn out of the car our time limit was up. From my understanding we had a 10 min time slot and that was it.
On the other hand we faired much better then the quads they had one guy take a nasty roll and bounced is helmet of a dumpster. Later on it sounded like he had a pretty nasty concusion. One of their other guys broke his wrist.
I would like to say that in my opinion neither the autocross drivers or the quad guys where at fault. The track design was unsafe for both groups. Having 12-15 ft between a huge jump (for the trucks) and a dumpster is just not enough room to race. I'm sure it is a lesson learned for everyone and will be corrected if we are invited back in the future.
Rant Complete. In no way am I point fingers at anyone. This is just my take on how everything went down.

Thankfully everyone walked away ok. In talking with the monster jam guys after the show, they knew that they had screwed up. We actually walked in while they were talking about how to improve next years track. It was a new crew, and they made some mistakes. The good thing, is they know what they did wrong and were already working on correcting there mistakes. Hard to ask for any more. Look for next year to be a big show on there end.

 I havent the slightest of faith in the monster jam guys anymore... they have continually screwed up every year with anything but the trucks....
