Are there different sizes of tail shafts for th400's? I have a bop400 and gm400 sitting here, shaft was already built for bop trans but will not slide into gm trans. O.d. of yoke is too big to slide into the gm case. Tried to put the yoke that came with the gm trans into the y on the shaft side of the bop shaft and the gm u joint is too narrow.
the gm 400 also came with a th350 converter in it... the case is stamped identical to all of my bop400's.
Just tried to put the smaller yoke into my 3spd. They use a th350 yoke correct? This yoke is too big to fit the 3spd

Wouldn't that mean that the slimmer yoke would slide into the larger housing? I tried that and it is too small
