Putting rules together for this year's events. Here is where we are going with the show.
(1) One full-size show. Trying to up the purse, but at least the $2k, $1k, 500, 400, 300, 200, 100 thru top 10 like last year.
No imperials (sub or full) or no pre-1970 Lincolns. All sedans (not by weight). So, yes to Electras, 98s, New Yorker's, etc. All coil-sprung wagons. (2) Compact heat. Trying to up the purse a little, but at least the $1k, 500, 250 like last year.
(3) Full-size truck heat. Trying to up the purse a little, but at least the $1k, 500, 250 like last year.
(4) "Heavy" heat. This will be rules that coincide with Williams County and is open to all makes/models (sub, full, wagon). I'm recommending at least a purse like the compact and truck heat, but I'm working on raising that as well. Good opportunity to run last year's Williams County car here and go fresh to Montpelier or a very good chance at some good money without dealing with all the pros that are running Williams.
All opinions welcome (please talk amongst yourselves...lol) on the following:
(A) Distributor protector - tight against cage, kicker allowed, or 5" spacing from cage
(B) Tank protector - tight against rear sheetmetal, none allowed, or 5" from nearest sheetmetal
Just curious to see what our driver's think we should do with these two rules. Hope to have an official set out as soon as possible.
Thanks.
