Im building a bunch of stack covers for some local drivers. and i seen a few in the past but they have wanted some rediculas money for them. mine are square tubeing that go down over the collector to the stacks, and then have a nut n bold on the side with a t handle that u can turn to tighten it down so it dont have the slight chance of it falling off while driveing. heavy duty material though so they are gonna last. and they are even a bigger size so if you bought the bigger size pipe stacks you would be able to use them. i was thinking $40.. the material is an odball size so it wasnt cheap, but i got enough that if i can sell them for that much i can make a little profit but trust me not very much at all..

your talking about pieces of pipe that are about 2-4" long with one end welded off, and a nut welded over a hole in the side to tighten down over the headers? Id say $5 for a pair. takes 35 seconds for our band saw at work to cut through 8" 1/4 wall tubing and welding would be about a min on the top, and 5 seconds for the hole to be drilled and another 2 seconds for the nut to be tack welded on on 2-3 sides. so all in all in prodution you have 47 seconds in welding and drilling, but that isn't counting the grinding, positioning of the materials, and painting. If its costing too much for that pipe, I would go with a bigger, more common size that would be cheaper. Not trying to bash, but I wouldn't pay $40 for something i could make in less than 5 mins.

Lol it takes me about 40 seconds to get my welder fired up and everything together not counting weld time or material or overall design cost.....nothing's free I think 40 is a little high but nothing outrageous I think more like 30 in my opinion but I don't know how much u have invested either most that I have seen for sale is around 20-30 but not same design as what urs sounds like also not everyone has drill presses bandsaws or lots of equipment

I bought some nice ones for $30. I would honestly not give more than. I could have made them myself, but it was easier to buy nice quality ones honestly.
