An LS3 is not a 5.3. It's an all aluminum 6.2 out of a Camaro or a Vette or if it's a truck block it's an LY6. If its a 5.3 it's either an aluminum block L33 or LA4 which are really hard to find or a steel block which is like a LY6 or LM9. Either way, no actual LS (1,2,3,4,6,7,9) engine has been a 5.3 .
