Wis. Man Auctions Off Car Collection, Donates Proceeds

A man from western Wisconsin auctioned off his collection of vintage tractors and classic cars and donated the proceeds to Feed My Starving Children, a charity that works to provide meals to children in impoverished countries.

Harvey Hielkema's collection included a 1917 Model T Ford and a 1957 Chevy. The auction collected $78,150, and according to a Feed My Hungry Children spokesperson, would provide between 300,000 and 350,000 meals.

Hielkema said he will miss his cars. Even so, he thought the auction was a success and was excited to hear his generosity would provide so many meals.

"I love that. It gives me pleasure to see that happen," he said.

Its nice to know that someone out there cares, but at the same time u would think that the parents would grab a heafty back next time the wanna bang. So people in are country would stop feelin sorry fot the ones who dont have money. But does anyone remember the fact that this nation is broke also, an we should be more worried about are selfs then someone else. but like i said its nice for someone to give a darn!
