Use vic bumper shocks in the front, crease everywhere you can, if you can swap rear ends do it. If you decide to keep the hatch, move it above where the gas tank and weld it on. Get some 3/4 ton truck springs and use them in the front. Then take the stock front springs and use them in the rear. Build a gas tank protector. Any questions. PM me.

Did you put your bumper shocks on top of the frame instead of putting them in the frame? More pics would be appreciated.

Im thinking about finding one of these and running it in a stock weld bumper only show. Would they be very tough with these rules? Also what wheelbase are these?

Perhaps a bead of weld around the base wher it drops into the spindle cup
Or am I misunderstanding the problem?

^^^'93 I believe.
It may have been 94 or 5. Someone who knows better than me can feel free to correct me, but I'm pretty sure the new body came with fiberglass panels.

I could be mistaken, but i think on the old wecrash it was just the doors and fenders that were fiberglass...i remember seeing some pics of one being built and it had a fiberglass door.

from wiki:
93-02
The new design incorporated sheet moulding compound (SMC) made from chopped fiberglass and polyester resin for the roof, hatch, doors, and spoiler

you might want to make sure that is actually a 4.3. I bought a 81 for parts and it had a 3.8 in it which is now my derby motor.

Do not ever run the fiberglass doors, ever.....period. Find some donor doors off any other car and weld them on.

Floating gas tank. Make a gas tank protecter, and make a bottom for it.

You can put a V8 in a camaro very easy without putting a different clip on it. Especially a IROC or a RS package camaro.
