entry fee fullsize class at derby

Why I'm asking is with a higher entry fee a promoter can pay more places in feature or pay more money to the winner.What do you guys think is a fair entry fee?Would you like to pay less of a entry fee and get less money in feature.or pay more and get more money in feature?

I went with 50 and 75 for late because makes alot of drivers preregister which makes it nice to have some comfort with cars showing up
