Rebuilt my 2 barrel rochestor, runs good but leaks fuel onto bottom plate and litte on top. Also on occasion fuel will come out of passenger rear side of exhaust port on head. Im stumped here. Didn't have anything to go by for float level so we guessed but it was around the middle and all gaskets are new and all screws are tight on bottom as well.

FLOAT LEVEL IS MOST LIKELY SET TOO HIGH. NEVER USE SCREWS FOR VACUUM LINE BLOCK OFFS, THEY WILL SUCK AIR PAST THE THREADS EASILY. KILL YOUR CHOKE PLATE AND SHAFT AND BLOCK OFF THE HOLES WITH MARINE EPOXY....

Took it apart yesterday and found piece of rust/dirt stuck in needle and seat. Also the push down pin in the power valve was stuck open and a torn top plate gasket. Guess Im doing them all myself next time. Hope this fixes the problem.

WE HAVE TO ASK, WHO BUILT IT? IM ASSUMING IT WAS NOT A DERBY CARB BUILDER AS ALL THE PASSAGES WOULD HAVE BEEN BLOCKED AND CHOKE REMOVED PRIOR......
