SHOW YOUR DRIVING SKILLS NOT YOUR BUILDING SKILLS.. Rules will be enforced and No Vote ins!!!!
RULES:
1. If you are pre-registered and found illegal you loose your entry fee!!
2. Cars must be late model, GM 78 and newer, FORD and DODGE 80 and up. No front wheel drive,no taxi
cabs,no hearse,no ambulance,no four wheel drive or awd. Must be an American made passenger car.
3. Any engine and trans accepted, rear end may be welded and rearend housing brace is allowed and gears may be changed. No 3/4 ton rear ends. Has to be 5 lug rearend.
4. Suspension : No airshocks, NO reinforcing A arms or upper trailing arms. Trailing arms may NOT be boxed in or extended.
5. Conventional trans coolers, or ice type coolers.
6. Gas tank and battery must be relocated inside of the car.
7. No gas tank larger than 8 gals. racing tanks, boat tanks, metal or plastic are ok. Has to be mounted securely inside the car.
8. 1/2" chain is the largest allowed. 1 wrap per door,can be at post or through door. Hood and trunk have 2 chains per panel.Hood chains may not be in front of radiator. 1 wrap per chain. Chain may wraparound bumper. Chain may have on single bolt through a link and through the bumper. A hole may be drilled in the bumper for this bolt. This will keep the bumper from falling off.
9. Bumpers and bumper height: You can hard nose bumpers or leave shocks and run soft. They can be welded to the frame. But bumper skins cannot be welded to bumper. ( no pointy imperial or new yorker bumpers ) bumper height - fresh cars 21inches to the lowest point of the bumper.
10. Factory fuel tanks must be removed.
11. Tires cannot be reinforced or liquid filled.
12. Windshield bar manditory & seat bar manditory, 4 point cage with roll over bar optional, You can attach a bar from the middle of your roll over bar out and connect it to your cowl bar. It cannot be connected to the roof line just bar to bar. Cowl and seat bar no larger than a 4in x 4in 1/4in thick tube or pipe. C channel no larger than 6in wide and cannot go more than 8in past door. Plates for seat bar no larger than 12in x 12in 1/4in thick. No kickers off cage.
13. Hood needs a 10in hole or over sized header holes for fire extinguisher.
14. NO TILTING FRONT or cold bending crush box
15. All factory body bolts and factory body bushings must be in car except 2 on core support at stock location. 2 3/4 all thread maxium, are allowed in core support at stock location.
16. PREBENDING ANY SHEET METAL AND NOTCHING REAR OF FRAME IS ALLOWED.
17. The only places that should have weld is the bumpers, drivers door,( 4point cage,roll over bar, windsheild bar,) rear end, gears and if you do a motor swap.
18. You have two minutes to make a hit. If car stalls, an agressive hit must be made every minute. If someone is laying back, THE RACE WILL BE STOPPED AND THE CAR MARKED to let other drivers know there are drivers laying back.
19. No spray foam around radiator.
20. 1 or 2 batterys. 12volt or 24 volt. Batterys must be covered and secure.
21. No undercoating, mudding, greasing, dusting, or painting the frame.
22. No hitting in drivers door, this rule will be strictly enforced. Accidents do happen but there must be evidence of trying to avoid the collision. The drivers door can not be used as a shield.
23. ALL FEATURE Winning cars will be inspected by the track officials. HOODS will be popped. If you are found illegal. Then you be disqualified and all winners move up.
24. Distributor protectors allowed, must be attached to engine or transmission only, backside must be no wider than 12 inches, must not contact cage before, during or after the event or you will be disqualified. If you run a DP do not mount your dash bar closer than 5 inches from middle of firewall. It may not be welded, bolted or connected to body, hood or frame. No transmission protectors. No pulley protectors.
25. If you don't like people looking at your car this is not the derby for you!
26. NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED!!! The Sheriff's Department will be present for the event.
27. THERE IS NO GRAY AREA TO THE RULES!!! The rules are not to be tested, just your driving skills.
28. Cars may be pre-registered for $25.00. with a pitpass. Registration at the gate will be $35.00. with a pitpass. Pit passes will be $10.00. (NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 16 IN THE PITS)
29. Drivers Must wear Seatbelts, Helmet, and eye protection when operating the vehicle.
30. Drivers must remain in cars until race is over or directed to leave by track officials.
31. All drivers must attend the drivers meetings.
32. Any cars that catches on fire 2 times in the race will be disqualified.
33. No hot rodding in the pits.
*THERE WILL NOT BE ANY VOTE INS!!!!
If your car isnt right it will not run !!!!
