Hey guys I was just wondering about what rims guys are using. I want a good set of 14" steel rims to make some doubled up rears with but I am not sure what year/make/model of vehicle that I would find these rims on (bolt pattern dont matter) - if you guys could offer some advice so I can start searching scrap yards that would be great - also what rims are good to use other than SS rims? Is there a specific year of SS rim that is toughest?
Thanks for the help guys - I dont know anything about rims or tires .. lol.

my 14s have came off Rangers and Windstar mini vans out of the 80s early 90s. Pontiac ralleys seem to be pretty decent by what ive seen and the F150 wheels from the 90s.

SS Rims come of the SS454 trucks and some late 80s, early 90s half ton trucks. They are 15x7 and they come in chrome or painted. the chrome ones have one inch more offset than the painted ones.
Late 90's early 2000's astro van wheels and of coarse buick rallys are good wheels. The astro wheels give and dont break as much stuff , the buick ralleys dont bend the centers

Thanks for the info guys that helps alot - if anybody else has any info on this topic feel free to add.
If you guys have any pics of what these rims look like so I have a visual of what I am looking for that would be helpful (incase I find these vehicles at the scrap yard but they dont have the original rims on them)
bighoss40 I was just wondering what it means when you said the chrome ss rims have one inch more offset than the painted ones? (I have one set of chrome ones but I havent ran them yet, I plan on it next run though)
Thanks again for your help guys.
