I got a job offer from the BNSF railroad for a conductor trainee. I was just curious if anyone has any insight on railroad work such as what to expect etc etc.....

Once you become a full fledged conductor, expect a BIG FAT paycheck. Just about any position with the RR is a good paying job with good benefits and a good retirement. My opinion is dont pass it up.

how do you get into something like that you? like do you just apply to the rail road or something. Been thinking about it myself. Good luck on it. I think of it this way. your job will be forever because frieght is moving on rails more and more because it is what cheaper... because fuel keeps going up
