Just as title say.s. 5.0 out of 88 cadi bolting to th400 from behind a pontiac 400, should work shouldn't it? I know the older engines do but wanting to make sure

305 out a of metric Cadillac will not bolt up to a BOP trans. A 307 out of a metric Cadillac will.

is there a visible difference in the 2? was told it was a 5.0

it is carb'd. out of an 88 fleetwood

88 Fleetwood it should be a 307. It's an Olds engine. It will bolt to an earlier BOP TH400.

Trans is from a 72 grand prix. Worst case is I have to run metric tranny. This is going in a very very underbuilt set of rules in a very rusty car lol one heat wonder
