can you switch a lt1 in a 95 caprice over to a carb and hei distribtor?

i believe u can just not sure if the cam has the gear for the dizzy or not

I did it last year i just got a summit brand hei and a torker 2 intake and a 2G carb and it didnt miss a beat you will just have to run a electric fuelpump because i wasnt sure if there was a lobe on cam

Yes you can u will have to drill out the 4 center intake bolt down holes and i put studs in because those are more of a angle then the 4 corners

wat bout the distributor? all the plug wires run up to the front

I believe that you can swap many parts from an old small block on to the LT style. Some don't have a cut out on the block for a manual fuel pump though so you will have to check that. I had one that was supposed to be an lt from an early 90s truck and it had the cut out with a block off plate, then I had one from a Camaro, and it did not. and yes, you can use an old style intake, but as said before the inner bolts don't line up. either drill them out, or just put older heads on it. As for the distributor, id order one from summit just to be safe.

lt1 has a reverse cooling system if im not mistaken
