last year you had to run factory bushings in core support or pull em out and suck core support down flat on the frame with all-thread. we weren't allowed to have spacers have you got a copy of the new rules? i'd like a copy if you do. they're supposed to hand em out at driver's meeting April 19th???

YEAH bro it would be nice to have a set of rules, but I guess we have to wait til 19th, I guess we have to wait to start on our cars untill brandon gets done with his so we kmow what the rules are

I talked to jason he said we could run a spacer. i can promise there will b illegal cars there for 4000 bucks.

WHY ARE THEY CHANGING THE RULES ALL THE TIME? SPACERS NO SPACERS, WELD ALL TUBES AND BRACKETS, DON'T WELD ALL MAKES NO SENSE. WHY CAN'T THE RULES STAND FOR A YEAR AND NOT GET CHANGED. IF YOU DON'T WANT THE BUMPERS TO FALL OFF, WHY WOULD YOU CHANGE THE RULE ON WELDING THEM? MAYBE IT HASN'T CHANGED GUESS WE WILL FIND OUT APRIL 19TH.

My advise would be not to listen to the "hear say" and people who likes to stir the pot !
Wait til the 19th get your rules and you will be A.....OK ;D
The only rule changing that got done was on the width of the bumper welds.
I also cleared up the welding door rule for those that do not understand what vertical and horizontal means.
The rules are very self explanatory this year. As a builder you should not have to call me . If you start questioning the rules you are building outside of the box.

So spacers or no spacers I can see not having a spacer on old cars but u need them on new cars. To keep radiator and fan clearance possibly

Why not post the rules so we all can start on cars. My car just needs some odd and end things to finish it up but out of towners cant drive down here just for the meeting. OH IF ANYBODY NEEDS A ROUNDBACK IVE GOT A 72 KINGSWOOD FACTORY 3 SPEED ON THE COLUMN $800

No every derby in the state of arkansas has differant rules some are close but are differant... like springdale you can weld all around doors here just vertical seams. springdale 3/4 althread here 1in you can run dps in springdale here you cant... piggott is full weld hotsprings is mostly weld. paragauld salam is chain with very limited weld and idk what yalls rules are

Joey and I discussed the spacers .We decided NO on spacers . All it will do is open the door for other things.
You all wanted a stock derby here. This is what you got to work with.50 cars ran last year with the core support sitting on the frames or choice to leave bushings in. That is how it is going to be this year. Complaining is not going to help.
The rules will be posted on April 20.
Stock rules work best here . That is obvious we had almost 70 cars last year. Before that it was "do what you want" the event was on the down hill slide severely.
I am not worried about car count we will have plenty to fit these rules. If your car does not fit these rules you are welcome to change it and come compete. If you are looking for a mod show Hot Springs is the same night as well as Piggott.
