There seems to be a somewhat large lack of integrity from this Sam Williams fella. If i'm not mistaken he ran a "points series" this last summer that drivers busted their butts to try to attend every event to become the points "champion" for a cash reward, an ugly (unkown until after given) jacket, and a "title" of points winner. Now at the last event of the year, in one of the classes, AFTER the driver already had the points title locked up, he showed up late. May it be 5 minutes, or 50...the driver wasnt given the opportunity to run. It'd be one thing if he had a vehicle that had never been inspected by Sams crew, or if it was the first event that he had attended, but a vehicle ran multiple times, by the same person? Seems to be some sort of alterior (sp?) motive to me.
After hearing that, I had decided to do what I hope ALL of you choose to do. NEVER under any circumstances, give him another DOLLAR of my money. There is NO need for people like that around here, especially after reading what he's done to his "vendors". There is nothing worse than seeing people talk bad about a promoter in their home town or a "big" promoter, and then proceed to give them entry money. You're doing nothing but condoning the problem.
Scott and Dave, I have the utmost respect for the both of you. You both have many GREAT products. One of the worst compliments you can get is somebody copying one of your products, only to do it in a half-a$$ way. Coming from somebody who makes everything myself, with the exception of my driveshaft (Add promotional comment for Hanson Motorsports here) I do have the respect what it takes to build engines, fabricate parts, etc. that a lot of this sport has lost. So I guess this is me saying to keep up the great work, the strategically typed posts, and great products, because there are people out there that do like to buy directly from the source.
